Program
Day 1. Arrival in Yakutsk. Rest.Day 2. Early breakfast Departure for Batagay-village by AN-24 aircraft. Flight
duration: 1,5 hour. Transfer by a 4 WD vehicle to Verkhoyansk, the coldest city
within the Polar Circle (60 km distance). Hotel accommodation with every convenience.
Lunch at a local cafe. Visit to museum. Dinner with a Yakut family. Late at night,
it is possible to see the Northern Lights.Day 3. Introduction to
the city: visit to a school, an ethnographic music band concert, visit to the
city mayor, receiving certificates of Verkhoyansk, the coldest city in the world.
Ice-fishing. Visit to the horse-breeding farm (Yakut horses).Day 4. In the morning transfer to Batagay-village by a 4 WD vehicle. Departure
to Yakutsk by AN-24 aircraft. Arrival in Yakutsk, hotel accommodatipn. RestDay 5. Introduction to Yakutsk. City sightseeing tour, visit to the Mammoth Museum,
the Institute of Permafrost Studies, the Treasure House of Yakutia. Farewell dinner
at a restaurant.Day 6.
Departure from Yakutsk.
