Road of GULAG

Part of the route (Khandyga - Tomtor - Susuman) runs along the unique road built by GULAG prisoners as far back as the Stalin's era. One can see the marks of that dramatic time -carved wooden bridges, barracks and other concentration camp building. Of major interest are the "Aerocobra" aircraft fragments, remaining here since airplanes ferrying from Alaska to Siberia during the second World War.
